TN TET 2025: Exam Pattern, Eligibility & Application Details

The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) is conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) to recruit teachers for classes I to VIII. It is mandatory for all aspiring teachers in Tamil Nadu Govt schools.

Paper I (Classes 1-5)

Total Marks: 150 | Duration: 3 Hours

  • Child Development 30 Marks
  • Language I (Tamil/Tel/Mal/Kan/Ur) 30 Marks
  • Language II (English) 30 Marks
  • Mathematics 30 Marks
  • Environmental Studies 30 Marks

Paper II (Classes 6-8)

Total Marks: 150 | Duration: 3 Hours

Certificate Validity

Once you pass TN TET, your eligibility certificate is valid for life. There is no need to renew it.
