Comprehensive Guide to Kerala SET Exam (2025)

The Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) is a critical examination for aspirants seeking appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE. It is conducted by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology primarily to ensure the standards of teaching in Higher Secondary Courses.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Master's Degree: Must possess a Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade.
  • B.Ed Degree: B.Ed Degree in any discipline from any recognized University in Kerala or equivalent.

Exemptions & Relaxations

  • No B.Ed Required: For subjects like Anthropology, Commerce, Gandhian Studies, Geology, Home Science, Journalism, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Statistics.
  • LTTC/DLEd: Accepted in place of B.Ed for Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The exam consists of two papers. There is NO negative marking for incorrect answers.
